This year's Buddha Bathing Festival coincides with Mother's Day. It is the time for learning to be grateful and to practice gratitude. We sincerely invite you to return home to the Dharma with your mother and family members, and join us in celebrating the Buddha's birthday together as we express our gratitude for the Buddha's compassionate guidance and teaching, and at the same time remember the kindness of our mothers. Let us join the ceremony with sincere hearts, and pay respect to, praise and bathe the Buddha statue. Through the merits of bathing the Buddha, we wash away the vexations and defilements of body and mind, pray that we may be like the Buddha with purified bodies and minds, and bless all mothers to be well and at ease. We also pray for world peace and that all living beings may achieve Buddhahood soon.
