In this lecture, we draw connections between fine art painting and music. These two have a long history of sharing impact upon each other. Sometimes music leads the fashion, sometimes the opposite way and sometimes they influence each other under the same contemporary movement, for example, Impressionistic music (by Debussy) borrowed the idea of Impressionistic artist (Monet) of French late 19th century.
We will explore approaches to how artists use different colors and techniques and musicians use various elements of music to convey emotions and moods expressed in the two forms of art.
