Venerable Chang Yuan currently serves as Director of Dharma Drum Retreat Center (DDRC). He joined the Dharma Drum Mountain monastic community in November of 2001, then in 2002, entered the Dharma Drum Sangha University's (DDSU) Buddhist Studies program. Since 2009, he has dedicated himself to Chan practice and has led retreats regularly from 2010 to the present. In 2018, he was assigned to Dharma Drum Mountain San Francisco to promote Chan and is now Director of DDRC since August 2020.
